Karandaaz is collaborating with National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) in advisory role to develop Application Programming Interface (APIs) management system that will completely digitize the Government to Person (G2P) and Person to Government (P2G) transactions. The said project is part of the long terms goal of NBP to accelerate financial inclusion of unbanked and unprivileged.
The partnership is perfect alignment of goals and expertise of two parties. While NBP has been part of many government projects of disbursement of funds and collection of payments (passport payment acceptance through mobile account being the latest innovation), Karandaaz brings its expertise in digital financial services. It works with regulators, banks, telecom and other organizations to support financial inclusion in Pakistan . It has support of major donor organizations like Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation working on financial inclusion in developing countries.
